What is the difference between incremental backup and differential backup?
Differential and incremental backups are “modern” backups that take less time and save disk space by only backing up changed files. But they differ in way of how they do it, and how helpful the result is.
Differential backups were the big boom of backup strategies. A differential backup backs up only the files that changed since the last full back.
Incremental backups also back up just the changed data, but they only back up the data that has changed since the last backup.
